on art...

"Some of us seem to be blessed with the ability to see things that many never notice, some of us also have the manual skill needed to use a brush, a pencil, a knife or chisel, and transfer the vision into concrete form, in stone, bronze, wood, or on paper or canvas, but it all begins with the gift of seeing things not often noticed, and the desire to record, and share. If you can make photographic images that transcend distance and time, and bring others to the where and when of that image, I believe you are on the way to artistry. The vision is more important than your instrument. Move slowly, try to see all, and miss little, and keep records to share with those who do not see, and your efforts will be an artform. Art is never more than vision shared."
